New Cars

No more Honda, no more green truck! We changed out our fleet of cars over the weekend. We sold both the Accord and Cory's truck, and got a Subaru Outback (perfect for driving in Utah snow!) and I got a....minivan. I always said I would NEVER drive a van...but just look at me now. They are so darn practical! Riley is just beside herself with excitement. She has been dreaming of being a van-owner since climbing in Logan and Heather's van earlier this year. There is nothing better than being able to sit in the very back...and to top it all off...our new van has a DVD player. What more could a kid ask for?

Family Photos

Riley got her hands on the camera a few nights ago and started taking pictures of Cory, Bailey, and I on the couch. She actually did a pretty good job playing photographer! I love the one of Cory and I kissing Bailey's cheeks...that kid has enough cheek to go around and then some, as you can see from the picture! I also love this picture of Riley and Bailey (I obviously took that one). The look on Bailey's face is classic!

Finally! A Happy Girl!

We FINALLY have a happy girl! After three and a half months of living with a grumpy baby, Bailey has decided to be happy! She hardly ever screams anymore, and she is always smiling...she even has been sleeping six or seven hours straight at night! Guess we'll keep her after all!

New Suit!

Ry fell in love last week...with her new swimming suit! We had some summertime weather a few days ago, with temps in the upper 90's, so she got to wear it quite a bit during the three day heat wave. Her favorite part of the new suit??? The flowers on the bum, of course!

FOR SALE!

We have had so much going on in our family over the last several weeks...that is why there haven't been any new postings. Cory started looking for a new job about a month ago, and this week was offered a job with Novell in Provo...so we are moving! He starts on June 9th , which is just around the corner. We have our house for sale and hopefully will have a buyer before too long! We have decided that we are all going to move to Utah together the first weekend in June and leave the house and everything we don't need right away here until it sells. With Riley starting Kindergarden in a few months, we wanted to get to Utah ASAP so that she can make some new friends before the school year starts. I just hope we can sell the house soon! We had our first looker tonight, so hopefully that is a good sign! Anyone out there want to buy a really cute house???

Just Like Dad

Cory came home over the weekend from Eugene, where he has been working the past couple of weeks. While he was unpacking his suitcase, Ry put on his shoes, hat, and grabbed his travel bag and wanted me to start calling her "Cory." She sure does miss her dad when he is gone!

Visiting Daddy in "Mongene"

Cory is working in Eugene (about 2 hours south of us) for the next three weeks. We hate it when he works away from home, but at least when he is in "Mongene" (Ry's name for Eugene...a mix between Montana (where Cory has worked quite a bit over the last couple of years) and Eugene) we can go and visit during the week. Last night Riley and I left Bailey with Mimi and drove down to have dinner with Dad and to feed the ducks. There is a HUGE duck pond in Eugene and every time we go there we take bread and crackers so Riley can feed the ducks. Usually it is the highlight of her trip, but that was not the case last night. There were big and little ducks at the park last night, and Riley said the big ducks "ruined her day." They would not leave the poor kid alone. They weren't shy and got too close to Ry (and to me, for that matter). The stinky big ducks scared Riley, and we spent most of the time at the park trying to get away from them. Cory and I HATE going to the duck pond...there is poop all over the place and the ducks really do swarm you once they figure out you have food. We secretly hope the big ducks scared Riley enough that we never have to go back again! Though she didn't enjoy feeding the ducks too much, the night was saved when she got to have a HUGE ice cream bar for her "junk" after dinner.
