18 Months!

Look who's 18 months old!  What a handsome little dude!

Zane had his 18-month check-up this last Monday...here are his stats:

Weight: 28.4 lbs - 92nd percentile

Height: 34.5 inches - 97th percentile

Head circum: - 19.6 inches - 96th percentile

He's still a pretty big dude.

Here are some of Zane's favorites at 18 months:

- The kid is OBSESSED with tractors...especially green John Deere tractors.  Cory introduced him to the  "Big Green Tractor" music video on YouTube (it has a slide show of different John Deere tractors on it).  Zane LOVES it and asks to watch it all of the time.  Again, he is obsessed.

- Z also loves trucks, especially Lightening McQueen and as of late, Mater

- He loves to be outside.

- Zane has discovered strawberry milk (thanks to Ry, who dumped a huge scoop of the strawberry powder in his sippy one morning when I hadn't made it into the kitchen to make breakfast yet).  He loves it and doesn't really want the plain milk anymore.  

- Z loves books and thinks Curious George is pretty cool, too.

- He still takes two naps per day (I hope writing this doesn't jinx me on this).  

- FINALLY, FINALLY, FINALLY is sleeping through the night pretty consistently.  Took the kid long enough....

- This boy rules the roost around here.  His sisters love him to death and think everything he does is soooo cute. 

- We LOVE this boy!!

Fall Break

Riley went off-track from school the first week of October for her three-week break.  We were pretty excited for break, and had planned on doing a few fun things while the rest of the world was in school. Ry, unfortunately, started feeling crappy her first day of vacation...by the fourth day I took her to the doctor and we found out the poor kid had pneumonia.  Is is just me or is she always sick?  It took her about a week and a half to start feeling somewhat normal again...we're lucky she got sick while off-track or she would have missed a lot of school.  

This is how Ry spent about a week.  

We did manage to still get in a few fall activities while Ry was out of school.  We hit the pumpkin patch, which the younger two thought was great fun (Ry still wasn't feeling great so she just wanted to sit in the car).  The pumpkin patch we go to has a row of tractors for kids to sit on...Zane was in HEAVEN!  The boy is totally obsessed with tractors.  He could have cared less about the pumpkins...he just wanted to sit on the the tractors!

We also went to Garner Village one afternoon with some friends to see the Halloween witch display they have...the girls' favorite witch was the one sitting in the outhouse with her pants down around her ankles.  Is it a shocker that this witch was their favorite???

Bailey also had her preschool field trip during our fall break.  She goes to school downstairs but does not have me for a teacher this year.  The field trip was a hit with her!

 The kids were supposed to find the smallest pumpkin they could...Bailey did a pretty good job.

Orange Tigers

Bailey played soccer again this fall.  I "coached" her team (which mainly means I tried to keep the kids kicking the ball in the right direction!).  Bayz played great and has improved a lot.  She even scored a couple of goals!  Way to go, Bailey!

Daddy's Boy

Zane is a daddy's boy, for sure!  If Cory is home, Zane is attached to his legs begging to be picked up.  If Cory goes outside, Zane wants to go outside.  If Cory sits to watch TV, Zane sits to watch TV.  If Cory heads to the bathroom, Zane is right behind him...you get the idea.  On workdays, Z lives for 5:30 p.m. when we go outside to sit on the rock in the front yard and wait for his daddy to get home.  As soon as Zane sees Cory's car coming, he takes off running down the sidewalk so that his dad can stop and pick him up for the rest of the trip home.  It is actually pretty funny to watch.  Z LOVES his dad!
