The Best Day Ever!

We just got home from Riley's soccer game. Whew, what a game it was! This is the third time Riley has played soccer and after almost every game she has asked when she will score a goal...

When she was on the dark green team (last fall) she didn't score a goal. Bummer!

When she was on the red team she didn't score a goal. Bummer again!

Now she is on the bright green team, and today she scored THREE GOALS IN THE SAME GAME! Riley was so excited! On the way home she said it was the "absolute best soccer day ever!"

Fall finally kicks in...

Fall weather has finally set in...time to turn on the fire pit! The kids have been waiting not so patiently to break in our fire pit ever since we moved in! The evenings have been chilly lately, so for FHE we made s'mores. It was all the kids have ever dreamed of...they had a great time.

On Two Wheels!

Look what Ry can do! She got a scooter for her birthday at the end of August, and from day one has been riding that like a pro! In addition, Riley took off her training wheels on Labor Day Weekend and has been zooming around the neighborhood ever since. Way to go, Ry!

Isn't she lovely?

Bailey has taken a great interest in looking at her hair when she gets out of the bathtub. She has always loved looking in the mirror, but I guess there is something about her hair having that freshly towel-dried look makes it nearly impossible for her to look away. She thinks she looks great, and isn't shy about hamming it up in front of the camera when she is sporting her "crazy hair".

Riley said Bailey looks a little bit like Shrek in this picture...must be the green towel...

It's Time for Football!

Yes, tonight is the start of the college football season! Our Beavers and Cougars don't play until this weekend, but the Utes kick off their season tonight (not that we care...). Some of our good friends, Heather and Lance, are Utah Ute season ticket holders, and are really looking forward to their game tonight. We decided to help them usher in the new season with some stunning yard decor we put up after dark last night. We covered the garage with a "GO COUGARS" sign, hung blue and white balloons, and lined the driveway with blue and white plastic forks and knifes. I heard the look on Lance's face was priceless. Lance sent a text this morning saying "Just wait". This could be a fun year...

What a monkey!

This is what I found Bailey doing the other day...she wanted Riley's Leapster (pink and on the top shelf) and she was going to figure out how to get it! Riley was not a climber AT ALL! It is amazing how different two kids can be! After taking these pictures Bayz "got busted" (Riley's words) and had to spend a minute in timeout.

Ry's Big Weekend

Riley turned six this past weekend (on the 23rd), and we celebrated ALL weekend long. On Friday she had a party with her friends over at Mimi and Papa's house. Ry had 16 kids over for a water party...it was so fun! Saturday she got to go on a date with both her mom and dad (at seperate times). Saturday morning she went mini-golfing with Cory, and got a hole in one! Saturday evening she got to go out to dinner with me at one of her favorite restaurants, Sizzler (I know, I know...Sizzler?? If she was turning 66 I would totally get the Sizzler thing, but at six? I swear we were the youngest ones in the place!) Sunday, on her real birthday we had a family party at Mimi and Papa's. What a weekend!

After a whirl-wind weekend, Ry started school on Tuesday. She is going to a new school this year, and after two days, loves it! Way to go, RILEY!

Look who's six!
