This is the conversation I had with Riley this morning:
Me: Ry, get your coat and backpack...it is time for school.
Ry (with tears in her eyes): Mom, I don't want to wear this shirt to school today. I want to change.
Me: Why? It is time to go. Just wear it.
Ry: I don't feel like wearing it. I just want to change my shirt.
Me: Sigh...
I think this is a sign of things to come...

DISNEYLAND!
Last weekend we took off for five fun-filled days at "The Happiest Place on Earth". We went with my parents, my sisters, and their families. You might expect going somewhere with this many people might be crazy...and it kind of was, though not as bad as I thought it would be. This much-anticipated trip was everything Riley had hoped it would be. She loved just about everything she did and saw. Here are her (and the rest of our) top five favorite and not-so-favorite things about our trip to Disneyland:
Bailey:
Best Five Things:
1. Eating junk food she had never tried...like cotton candy. It was her favorite.
2. The parade at Disneyland...she loved all of the lights and the music.
3. Eating junk food.
4. Riding the rides...she was enthralled with the Peter Pan ride
5. Eating junk food.
Five Worst Things:
1. Not sleeping in her own bed.
2. Waking up a lot at night.
3. Not getting her regular naps...made her kind of grumpy
4. Having the sun glare in her eyes while in the stroller.
5. Finding it hard to fall asleep at night (her mom rocked her for nearly an hour one night...ugh!)
Riley:
Five Best Things:
1. The Toy Story ride at California Adventure - loved it!
2. The Tea Cup ride - loved it!
3. The parades at both Disneyland and at California Adventure
4. The Dumbo ride - loved it!
5. Meeting Mickey, Minnie, Woody, and Cinderella
Five Worst Things:
1. Space Mountain - Hated it! She gave that ride two thumbs down!
2. Thunder Mountain - Liked it for about fifteen seconds...not the rest of the time!
3. Waiting in line - the lines were longer than we were hoping for...but overall, not too bad.
4. Soaring over California - Thought she was going to fall.
5. Having to come home.
Lindsey:
Five Best Things:
1. Watching Ry get so excited
2. The parades
3. Splash Mountain - loved it!
4. Dole Whips - Love them!
5. Thunder Mountain - an oldie but goodie!
Five Worst Things:
1. Working so hard to get Bailey to go to sleep at night...jiggle, jiggle, rock, rock, rock for what seemed like hours! Ugh!
2. Never having time to eat because I was always trying to get the kids fed.
3. Being around people who were grumpy about lines
4. Disneyland being so crowded...especially at night...it felt like Times Square there were so many people!
5. Sleeping in the same room as Bailey - I am a light sleeper and woke up to every snore, grunt, moan, and loss of chupie. Ugh!
Cory:
Five Best Things:
1. Seeing Ry so excited.
2. The big white roller coaster at California Adventure - I never thought he would get on, but he did!
3. The Toy Story ride - not just for kids, you know!
4. Going on the Dumbo ride w/ Riley...she loved it!
5. Splash Mountain - we went back to Disneyland one night after the kids were in bed and rode it over and over again...we were all soaked!
Five Worst Things:
1. Waiting in line
2. So many people
3. Waiting in line
4. So many people
5. The Ladybug ride in California Adventure...made him kind of dizzy.
Overall we had a fun trip. Riley asked me last night before she went to bed when she gets to go back...she said she forgot to talk to the seven dwarfs while we were there. Funny kid!

GO BEAVS!
Go Beavers!
I am sure you all know I am not really into cheerleading...but doesn't she look cute?
Looking for a touchdown! The best way to create the greatest Beaver fans is to train them young! Riley got off to an early start when she was a baby, and so has Bailey. Thanks to our friend Brooke, Bailey has the cutest cheerleading outfit, which is perfect to wear today because it is GAME DAY! The Beavers are here in Salt Lake City to play Utah tonight. In honor of the big game the entire family broke out their Beaver gear...let's just hope we have a win to celebrate later on tonight!
Poor Baby Bayz

Just look at this face! This is the face of a baby with an ear infection. Bailey started acting pretty grumpy Monday afternoon and was a complete beast by Monday night. After a dreadful night Monday and a not-too-much-better Tuesday, I took her to the doctor Tuesday afternoon. After peeking in both ears, the doctor confirmed what we had all been suspecting...ear infection. We got her on medicine and within 12 hours she was doing much better. This was Bailey's first experience w/ an ear infection...I hope she NEVER gets another one!
