Born just a little too late...
It has been almost two years since Papa sold the store in Oregon...time has flown! My Mom kept some of the aprons from the old Thrifway days to use in the kitchen when she cooks. Bailey found one in the cupboard the other day and wanted to put in on. I tied it up so that she wouldn't trip and she wore it around the house until it was time to change into her jammies. Looks like she would have made a great Thriftway employee, don't you think?

Soccer Girl
Spring soccer has started and Riley is playing again. This season she is on the Mighty Red Fire Dragons team. She has her cousin on her team, along with three other kids from her Kindergarten class. She told me this afternoon before her game that in the Fall she liked soccer, but this spring she LOVES it! After two Saturdays of rain and cold weather, I am just hopeful we get some actual spring weather for next week's game!

She's A Chupie Girl
I think we are going to have a hard time breaking Bailey from her chupie...look how many she likes to sleep with! I take full blame for her having to have seven chupies in her bed with her (is seemed like such a good idea a few months ago when she couldn't find one during the middle of the night), but now I am wondering how smart of a move that was. If I start removing chupies from her bed now, one at a time, I might have her weaned from them by the time she is seven years old!

Goofy Kids!
Here are a few pictures I took of the girls over the last couple of weeks. The first couple are of Bailey trying to drink out of the bathtub faucet. Everytime she tries she ends up choking and sputtering, so I don't know why she still thinks this is fun...but what do I know? I guess Bailey thrives on a challenge because every morning she is at it again. No wonder she is never too hungry at breakfast...her tummy is full of air and water from drinking out of the faucet.

I got each of the girls a plastic bucket to serve as their Easter baskets this year. Who would have known that $1.00 could buy so much fun! Lately Bailey has been putting a bucket over her head and running around the living room until she crashes into something. She thinks it is hilarous. The other night Ry joined her in her game...Cory and I were just glad no one got hurt and that the furniture is all still in one piece!

Ry's Spring Party
I promised Riley that when she went off-track at school she could have her friends over for a party. She had a "Spring Party" and the girls played spring Bingo, made flower pots, played "Pin the Leaf on the Flower" and colored spring pictures. Ry said it was the perfect party...except for the fact that it had snowed that day.

Shake Your Booty!
This is what I heard Ry singing to Bailey this morning in the bathtub:
"Shake, shake, shake!"
"Shake, shake, shake!"
"Shake your booty!"
"All the way to Texas!"
"Shake, shake, shake!"
"Shake, shake, shake!"
"Shake your booty!"
"All the way to Texas!"
Huh? Where in the world did she hear that?
"Shake, shake, shake!"
"Shake, shake, shake!"
"Shake your booty!"
"All the way to Texas!"
"Shake, shake, shake!"
"Shake, shake, shake!"
"Shake your booty!"
"All the way to Texas!"
