At the ranch...

A couple of weeks ago we braved the 14 1/2 hour car ride with the kids and went to Cory's parent's house for a few days. We were lucky enough to have nearly perfect weather....sunny, warm, and not too windy. Riley was really into doing as much "ranch stuff" as she could while she was there. She was her dad's shadow as much as his work would let her be. Ry got to ride horses, drive the four-wheeler (with her dad's help), went with Cory to check water tanks, and even got up at 5:00 in the morning to go with Cory and his dad to a neighboring ranch to pick up a couple of cows that escaped the ranch. Bailey, on the other hand, was pretty happy to stick close to the house and play on the swings (she said she would ride a horse when she turned 19). It was a fun, quick trip...but I can't say I'm too ready to jump in the car with all three kids again anytime soon, though!

One of the million four-wheeler rides Cory took the kids on.
Ry practicing her roping.
Cory taking Zane out for a walk.
Bailey up by the barn.
Riley got to ride solo for the first time.
Cory helped Riley and two of her cousins with a little target shooting.
Riley, Bailey, Clayton, David, and Cora.
Poor Zane...he got so tired of being in his car seat. He was a trooper, though., especially since he really doesn't sleep well anywhere except his bed.
